Lighting can easily make or break the scene of any video, no matter how short it is. Too little light makes it difficult to see what's going on, which can be frustrating if it's not an intentional element of the video. Too much light can be just as infuriating, interfering with acting performances and even drowning out essential color. This is why lighting is so carefully staged for videos. But what do you do when you are filming something on the go? You can rent lighting equipment & videography flash options that mount directly to your camera from BorrowLenses.

    When Is Camera-Mounted Lighting Useful?

Camera-mounted lights attach directly to the camera and act as a quick light source whenever needed. In spite of this convenience, this option is not necessarily used as often as many people think. This is because the lights tend to be bright, which casts stark shadows on and around the subject being filmed. One of the most common places you will see camera-mounted lights is in television reporting.

Though it may not always be used in Hollywood cinema, camera lights are still practical in many settings. If you are trying to film wildlife, for example, then having quick access to a light source is a necessity if there's no way for you to set up stands and other equipment. You can also use this type of lighting to purposefully create a reality TV feel for your film as well.
