  • Lighting is Key

For your next video production, you can instantly upgrade your quality without investing in a new expensive camera. The best way to do this is to learn about proper video lighting. Instead of grabbing your camera and shooting on the go, try setting up your shots as a cinematographer would. To do that, you need a variety of lighting sources that can help enhance your picture's quality and improve your visual storytelling. You can easily rent video lighting or video lighting kits by looking to BorrowLenses. There is a vast selection of many different lighting products that can help you achieve the look you need.

    Brighten Your Scene

If you're not sure where to begin with video lighting, it may be best to rent an LED lighting kit that makes it easy. Having proper lighting can make things much more consistent with your footage, giving those in the editing suite fewer problems. You may want to start with two point lighting, with a fill light and a key light to help brighten the scene. Once you've mastered using the two lights, try a three light system by adding a back light to give even more illumination.

    Enhance Your Frame

After you've figured out the basics of lighting, then it's time to try some more advanced techniques that can enhance the story or message of your production. Help the audience focus on something in the frame by highlighting it with your lighting. A lighting reflector can help you control where your light needs to be focused. Experiment with changing the texture of your frame by softening the light or making it brighter and harsher.

Lighting is one of the best ways you can give your video production even more professional quality. The best solution for filmmakers is to rent the lighting packages that are needed. With BorrowLenses, you can find many different options that can enrich your project.
