Equipment You May Want for Wedding Videography

If you are taking on the production of a wedding video for the first time, there may be a few things you need to know. Certain gear may make it easier for you to capture the dialog surrounding the big day. Here is some equipment that many wedding videographers find useful.

    • Multiple Cameras: Most videographers have two of the same, or at least similar, camcorders. Some jobs may require more.
    • Tripods: Tripods and other camera supports are a must to ensure the video isn't shaky.
    • Microphones: Often the internal microphones are not enough to capture everything that's going on, so external microphones may be necessary.
    • Lighting: Some shots may require extra lighting, whereas others may not.
    • Lenses: To really get in close to the action without being intrusive, you may want to rent medium telephoto video lenses.
    • The Extras: You will also want to make sure you have bags and covers, cables, power supplies, memory cards and a few other accessories.

Getting the right equipment is imperative to creating a standout wedding video.
