Overview

The Sony PXW-FS7 II is one of Sony's most popular documentary cameras and a very flexible 4K option. Here are some of the notable features of this run-and-gun system:

  • 7.5x Super Slow Motion from 1-180 FPS with no "windowing" of the sensor.
  • Ample recording options, including internal 4K at cinema standard frame rates, uncompromised 4:2:2 color in UHD, and even external raw with the help of the XDCA-FS7 Extension Unit (not included).
  • Ergonomic refinements, including extra large buttons, left-side swappable monitor arm and mic holder, and telescoping grip.
  • Built-in electronic variable ND filters for expanding depth of field capabilities and operating in even the harshest lighting conditions.
  • Dual XQD memory card slots (cards not included) for simultaneous or relay recording.
