The Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM is an ultrawide and fast zoom with an advanced XD Linear Motor system for reliable AF tracking of subjects. Its quiet operation is also suitable for video use. This floating focusing system divides the focus group into two separately-controlled groups (and four separate focusing motors) which helps maintain consistently clear optical performance throughout the zoom and focus ranges. A customizable Focus Hold button gives extra control, while the dust and moisture resistant build provides stable operation even in challenging conditions. You cannot attach filters to the front element of this lens but it does have a slot in the back to accommodate gel filters. This lens also has an integrated hood. The Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 captures expansive scenes with outstanding resolution and bokeh and is recommended for landscapes, interiors, architecture, and for expressive, exaggerated closeups.
