The Sony a7S III is the long-awaited successor to the esteemed Sony a7S II, redefining mirrorless video workflows for a whole new generation of filmmakers, vloggers, and video enthusiasts. Here are the standout features of the a7S III:

  • A newly-developed image processing engine with 8x more processing power and a brand new 12.1MP back-illuminated full frame sensor with significantly reduced rolling shutter effects.
  • A massive 40-409,600 ISO range with more noise reduction in the middle and high end.
  • 4K 60p 16-bit raw out over full-size HDMI with a new heat dissipating system that allows unlimited clip lengths (60 minute recording time at 4K60p). Record UHD 4K all the way up to 120p using full 1:1 pixel readout without binning.
  • In-body image stabilization with added Active Mode for steady handheld recording.
  • Completely redesigned menu system and fully articulating touchscreen.
  • Dual CFexpress slots for high-speed data processing that can also accommodate UHS-II SD cards. Special Note: Compatible with CFX Type A cards only. This camera is not compatible with CFX Type B or XQD cards.

  • Fast Hybrid AF system with 759 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection points.
  • An updated multi-interface hot shoe that enables use with more accessory types, including digital audio accessories

This camera is designed with videographers in mind but it's no slouch for photographers. In addition to the AF points that cover 92% of the image area and the incredible low light sensitivity, the a7S III is equipped with 10 FPS continuous shooting fast enough for events, wildlife, and sports. This camera offers the kind of reliability in both build and tech to keep up with even the most demanding pros.
