The Sony 50mm f/1.8 OSS is a small and sharp prime lens with a linear motor for exceptionally quiet and continuous AF, making this lens suitable for video projects. It is designed for crop sensor E mount cameras. It is also compatible with full frame E mount cameras that have a crop mode. The Direct manual Focus feature gives you fine manual focus control even after the AF has locked onto your subject. The Optical Image Stabilization gives up to 4 stops of shake control when shooting handheld in low light. This lens is ideal for portrait photography, short telephoto work, low-light shooting, and for videography. Warning: The lens you get may be either black or silver.
