Overview
The Sennheiser ME66 Microphone comes with a short shotgun mic, the K6 powering module, an XLR cable, windscreen, and shockmount. This mic is a popular choice among filmmakers for its highly-directional, cardioid polar pattern that is great at picking up only exactly what it's pointed at, even in noisier environments. The K6 module that connects to the mic operates on either a single AA battery or can accept phantom power from outside sources. It offers transformerless balanced output with low noise. This module is required for integration with standard microphone preamps. Together, the ME66 and K6 are compact enough for boompole mounting. With detailed, accurate signal reproduction, distortion-free recording of even loud sources, and a shockmount with 4-point suspension, the Sennheiser ME66 is ready for any film production set.
