Overview

The Nikon BL-5 battery Chamber Cover attaches to the end of an EN-EL18 battery so that it can be inserted into select battery grips for use with cameras that normally cannot fit an EN-EL18 battery. The EN-EL18 battery is higher capacity than an en-el15 battery, so there is an advantage to fitting this piece to an EL-18 battery for pairing with a grip and your camera. In some models, it can also increase your shooting speed. This BL-5 battery chamber cover is compatible with, but may not be limited to, the following batteries:

Nikon EN-EL18
Nikon EN-EL18a
Nikon EN-EL18b
Nikon EN-EL18c

Once paired with a battery (not included), you can then fit your EN-EL18 battery with the following grips:
- Nikon MB-D12
- Nikon MB-D17
- Nikon MB-D18
  
  Any camera compatible with the grips above will benefit from this setup, including but not limited to, the following:
