Overview

The Matthews Digital 11' Combo stand is a high-quality stand for professional lighting. Combo (or combi) stands are combination stands with a 1-1/8" junior receiver and lollipop head. This particular stand is a little different.  Instead of the lollipop head, it has a baby pop-up 5/8" stud. The purpose of this is so that 1 stand can support 2 kinds of fixtures (or support a very large fixture with 2 contact points). This stand does not come with a 1-1/8" lollipop grip head. It instead comes with the baby pop-up 5/8" stud to go alongside the stand's 1-1/8" receiver. Each riser of this stand is spring-dampened for safe lowering. While robust and relatively lightweight for its payload, the Matthews Digital 11' Combo Stand is considered a "lighter-duty" stand and sandbags should be used for added safety. This stand is suitable for those with some grip experience.
