Overview

The Manfrotto 322RC2 Grip Action Ball Head allows you to operate your head one-handed via a grip handle which incorporates a ball lock lever. To use this unique pistol grip-style head, simply squeeze, position, and let go to be in your new, preferred position. This eliminates the step of having to lock down your position with a twist knob, like with many other ball head types. Please note that this head is not suitable for continuous tracking of moving subjects since one must always grip the lever to release the ball for free movement and thus your hand would tire after prolonged use. This ball head is ideal for stationary subjects where you need to make very quick and precise adjustments one-handed, which frees your other hand for adjusting products or directing your subject.

Important Notes: If during use you find that this head isn't holding tension well, it may be because the screw on the non-handgrip side needs to be tightened, which can be done with a hex key. Squeeze the handle and make a 1/4 turn to tighten and increase tension. Also note that there is a wheel tensioner on the head itself but the screw can be tightened if the wheel isn't sufficient.
