Bundle: Kent Lamm's Video Starter Kit Rental

Lensrentals provides rentals for professional photographers, videographers, and photography/videography hobbyists.

Overview

I put together this kit for those of us early in our filmmaking journey, where we have the ideas but maybe not the budget. You'll have everything you need to go out and make your first film –  and you can rent all of this gear for less than if you added these items individually on the same order thanks to BL's built-in bundle discount!

Panasonic GH5 II: This camera provides beautiful, stabilized 4K video and is an amazingly capable camera for its price. It’s compact and lightweight with useful features for the beginner filmmaker, like a flip-out touchscreen, external mic jack, and focus peaking.

Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8 II Power OIS: This workhorse zoom was my main lens for the last two short films I made. With this one lens you'll be covered from wide shots to closeups, and the built-in stabilization couples with the GH6's stabilization for extra smooth shooting. It's also decent in low-light situations with its f/2.8 speed throughout the zoom range.

Rode Wireless GO II Mic/Recorder Kit: This wireless system plugs straight into your camera, which means you can avoid the extra crew and gear that would be needed with a boom mic. It includes lapel mics to conceal in your actors' wardrobe.

Amaran COB 60x Video Light: This little LED-powered light is simple to use and gives any shot some "pop". Since it's bi-color, you can emulate normal daylight or create a warm tungsten or sunset look. It also includes batteries, so it is 100% portable – get great lighting anywhere!

Sachtler Ace M Fluid Head Tripod Kit: Tripods are not something to cheap out on, unless you want jittery pans and a camera that's prone to tip over when you're not looking. Sachtler makes the best tripod heads for filmmaking, period. The resistance in every direction is adjustable and silky smooth, making it almost impossible to get a jerky camera pan or tilt with this tripod head.

All the Important Extras: A light stand, a beefy SD card so you can shoot all day, and an extra camera battery. Get out there and get shooting!
