Overview

The Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Head II is a heavy duty gimbal-style head specifically designed for telephoto and super telephoto lenses. You must have an Arca-Swiss style plate (plate not included) to attach to your lens' foot prior to mounting your lens to this head. Here are a few other important features:

  • Industry-standard clamp will accommodate most plates, including Arcatech, Kirk, Really Right Stuff, etc. Plates are not included.
  • Panning base with zero play and a pan locking knob that's easily accessible on the side of the head.
  • Adjustable distance between mounting surface to tilt axis from 1.1-4.8".
  • An astounding 100 lb payload.
  • Soft-touch knobs with a comfortable grip and finish that perform well even when wearing gloves.

The Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Head II is the ideal head to pair with your tripod when using super long lenses. It is the preferred tool for wildlife and sports, especially when shooting from just one position.

  • Type: 3/8th-16 Female Thread Flat Panning base Head
  • Load Capacity: 150 lbs
  • Elevated Tilt Mechanism with Tension Control
  • Dimensions: 9.25" Tall, 3.50" Wide, 9.87" Deep
  • Lens Platform Adjustable from 3.5-7.1"
  • Weight: 3.15 lbs
  • Important Notes: If during use you find that this head isn't holding tension well, it may be because the screw on the top of the base needs to be tightened, which can be done with a hex key. Only a very small adjustment would be needed. Removing the screw can compromise the lock-in completely and may result in a repair fee. Never touch the three mini screws surrounding the main base screw.
