Overview

The DJI RS 3 Pro is an advanced handheld gimbal that maintains the portability of prior models but can handle payloads large enough to accomodate cinema cameras like the Sony FX6 or Canon C70. Here are some of the standout features:

  • Equipped with 3rd-generation stabilization algorithms for significantly enhanced stability – about a 20% increase over the RS 2.
  • Optimized structural design of layered sheets of uncut carbon fiber in order to stay lighweight (3.3 lbs) while handling up to 10 lb payloads.
  • Dual-Mode Bluetooth so that, with select cameras, you can control your camera's shutter directly from the RS 3 Pro. Please see this list for camera compatibility.
  • 28% larger OLED color touchscreen compared to the RS 2, plus a redesigned UI for more precise and intuitive navigation. The screen is also brighter for easier use outside without any additional impact to battery life.
  • LiDAR focusing technology support (requires LiDAR Range Finder, not included). 
  • A new mode switch so that you can quickly alternate between Pan, Pan/Tilt, and FPV modes with a simple side switch. FPV mode can be customized to another mode, such as 3D Roll 360 or Portrait.
  • Automated axis locks to quickly enter and exit sleep mode with the touch of a button.

Other little improvements include a better grip cartridge design for faster battery swapping, pass-through charging for near-indefinite use depending on your power setup, and expansive compatibility with accessories such as the Tethered Control Handle (not included) and a new Briefcase Handle (included). Camera cables and the Extended Grip/Tripod unit are also included.

  • The DJI RS 3 Pro battery is built into the grip and will run for approximately 12 hours. Charge the grip using the included USB Power Adapter and USB-C cable. Charging time is approximately 2.5 hours. This gimbal can be used while it's charging. RS 3 Pro battery grip is not interchangeable with RS 3 or RS 2 battery grip.
  • Battery grip and gimbal each have a power button. Make sure to turn on the battery grip before turning on the gimbal.
  • Wireless control is possible with the Ronin mobile app (up to approximately 32' away). This can be extended up to 2 miles when paired with the DJI Pro Wireless Receiver (not included).
  • Live view transmission is possible when paired with the Ronin mobile app and the DJI RavenEye 1080p transmission system, which is not included.
  • Refer to the DJI RS 3 Pro Camera Compatibility List to see if your camera is suitable for this stabilizer.
  • The follow focus and record trigger are not compatible with all systems.
  • The DJI Ronin app is compatible with iOS 11.0 and above and Android 7.0 and above with Bluetooth 4.0 support.
  • Please use your own mobile app credentials when logging into the app.
