Overview

The DJI Ronin RavenEye Image Transmission System connects to a DJI RS 2 or RSC 2 gimbal via HDMI and to your mobile device via WiFi. It allows you to, via the Ronin app, see a 1080p/30 FPS feed from your camera's PoV while also allowing gimbal control using the app's virtual joystick or with Force Mobile (where the gimbal mimics the phone's movements). You can operate all this from over 300' away (in ideal conditions). When pairing the RavenEye specifically with the DJI RS 2, you can display the feed directly on the RS 2's touchscreen.

  • Depending on the camera, use of the RavenEye may reduce the number of functions your camera has with the gimbal as opposed to when using your camera with the gimbal alone.
  • When powering everything up, it is advised that you do it in this order: power on RavenEye, then gimbal, then your camera.
  • When pairing with your mobile device, note that the network name and password is listed directly on the RavenEye.
  • WiFi is required for using the RavenEye with the Ronin app. Bluetooth connection between camera and gimbal needs to be turned off entirely for the WiFi connection to properly function.
  • To get the most functionality and control, it's best to use the RavenEye along with DJI focus motors.
  • While it is always best to charge the RavenEye completely before use, it can leach power directly from the gimbal as well if you need it to.
