Overview

The Core SWX HyperCore HC9 Mini V-Mount Battery Kit is a super slim power solution for V-mount setups. It's over 1" shorter than prior models and only about 2" deep, with an overall on-camera footprint of 3.54" x 4.65". Each battery has a 12 amp load and offers up to 1 hour and 40 minutes of runtime on a RED DSMC2 camera. With lower-draw cameras (25 watt load), you can get up to 3.5 hours. An LED power gauge indicates remaining power while a backlit LCD provides runtime and remaining power for easy and accurate readings. In addition to the standard V-mount power output, the HC9s each feature a P-Tap and a USB port for interfacing with accessories and can be used to power a light source, monitor, recorder, or smartphone. Plus, they are carry-on airline travel safe (according to the manufacturer). Included with the 2 batteries is a Core SWX X2S 2-Bay ChargerCore that can charge 1 battery at a 3-amp rate or both batteries simultaneously at 2 amps. It is designed to sit vertically to take up less space and a 4-pin XLR output allows it to double as a 90W power supply for cameras, lights, and other equipment with 4-pin XLR ports (XLR cable not included). Please note, however, that to use the X2S Charger as a continuous AC power supply unit, you must use a Core SWX XLR cable with a jumper activation for power supply functionality, which is not included.
