Overview

The Core SWX HyperCore HC9 Mini Gold Mount Battery Kit is a slim power solution for cinema cameras and accessories. It's over 1" shorter than prior models and only about 2" deep, with an overall on-camera footprint of 3.54" x 4.65". Each battery has a 12A load and offers up to 1 hour and 40 minutes of runtime on a RED DSMC2 camera or over 8 hours on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema camera. An LED power gauge indicates remaining power while a backlit Lcd provides runtime and remaining power for easy and accurate readings. In addition to the Gold Mount power output, these HC9s each feature a P-tap/D-tap output and a USB port for interfacing with accessories and can be used to power a light source, monitor, recorder, or smartphone.

Included with the 2 batteries is a Core SWX X2A 2-bay Gold Mount charger that can charge 1 battery at a 3A rate or both batteries simultaneously at 2A. It is designed to sit vertically to take up less space and a 4-pin XLR output allows it to double as a 90W power supply for cameras, lights, and other equipment with 4-pin XLR ports. Please note, however, that to use the X2A charger as a continuous AC power supply unit, you must use a Core SWX XLR cable with a jumper activation for power supply functionality, which is not included.
