Overview

The Canon C100 Mark II has improved upon its predecessor with faster and more accurate autofocusing when using Canon lenses thanks to Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, which deploys two photodiodes within each sensor photosite for powerful phase detection that ultimately helps ensure that proper focus is always maintained, even in unpredictable "run and gun" news or documentary-type shooting situations.

Additional upgrades over the original include face detection, higher frame rates, MP4 recording, improved low-light sensitivity, higher dynamic range, a larger EVF, and increased resolution on the 3.5" OLED display. It also has built-in WiFi and timecode-supported HDMI out with Canon Log LUT. With this setup you can record up to 3 hours of HD video on a single 32GB card and the ergonomic and modular design makes it a breeze to shoot for long periods of time without assistance. The continuous recording function allows you to create In and Out points in your footage every time the START/STOP button is pressed and, unlike in previous models, this camera does not require the use of a joystick to access internal menus.

The Canon C100 Mark II also features enhanced sensitivity in low light with less noise than previous models thanks to its wider pixel pitch and 12 stop of dynamic range. This camera is ideal for documentarians, journalists, wedding and event shooters, and independent filmmakers with small crews.
