A special coating reflects unwanted stray light and ensures high contrast with deep blacks and true-to-life color rendering. The 11 blade aperture produces lovely bokeh but please note that this lens' maximum T-stop drops to T3.9 on the long end. However, this lens is equipped with what Zeiss calls a "gradient T-stop" that ensures smooth aperture transitions across the entire focal range. The standard 0.8 pitch gears allow for easy use with a follow focus unit and the rubberized focus and zoom rings are tactile and comfortable.
