Overview

The Rode Blimp System is a noise and wind-dampening system that is ideal for NTG1, NTG2, NTG3, NTG4 and NTG4+ microphones but will also fit other shotgun mics up to 12.75" long and between .75-1" around (microphones not included). To use, connect your shotgun mic to the Neutrik XLR connector that is built into the skeleton-style blimp handle and place the mic into the adjustable Rycode Lyre clips, which have been redesigned to be much more flexible and provide superior acoustic suspension over traditional elastic bands. This blimp is about 25% lighter than prior Rode blimp systems, attaches to any boompole system with a 3/8" stud attachment, and comes with a Dead Wombat/Cat windshield, which greatly assists in protection against wind noise. The Rode Blimp System for Shotgun Microphones is built for windy conditions and is a versatile tool for most video/audio projects.
