Important Things to Consider

• Your rental begins when the first delivery attempt is made. If you do not think you’ll be available for home delivery, please contact us to arrange for delivery to another location.

• Your rental must be returned to its pick up location or postmarked by your shipper before the same day cut-off time. Contact the location you’ll be bringing the return package to in advance to find out what the same day cut-off time is. Remember, local pickup spots and ship centers have varied hours!

• For your security, get a receipt from whoever you are dropping your gear off with for return.

The Pentax K-1 Digital SLR is a huge upgrade from earlier Pentax cameras, like the Pentax K-3, with an over 36MP full frame sensor supported by an advanced PRIME IV image processing engine. Like the Nikon D810 and the Fuji X-Pro 2, the K-1 lacks an optical low-pass (anti-aliasing) filter. Under normal shooting circumstances, the optical low-pass filter prevents the instance of moire patterns from showing up in your images of tight-patterned objects, such as fabrics. The benefit of removing these anti-aliasing properties for the K-1 is maximum sharpness for RAW files, optimized for landscape or simply extreme detail-style shooting.

Record Full HD 1080p video with the K-1 at up to 30 FPS in either full frame or APS-C crop modes as well as bolster audio quality by using the headphone and mic jacks. You can also take advantage of slower shutter speeds with the help of built-in 5-axis Shake Reduction. Watch footage easily with the unique 3.2" cross-tilt LCD monitor and operate even in bad weather thanks to weather sealing.

Pentax takes advantage of their sensor with a Pixel Shift Resolution setting. This mode shifts the sensor in order to capture full color data on each pixel by compositing four shots. This grants exceptional clarity, lowers noise, and boosts the effective resolution to 42MP. Other great features include Multi Exposure Mode and Interval Composite Mode as well as an AstroTracer function that combines with the built-in GPS to minimize star trails during long exposures. The K-1 is a versatile camera for both still and video shooters and is especially well suited for portraits, architecture, and landscape shooting.
