The Sony PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS E Mount Lens is a wide-to-normal field of view zoom for crop sensor/APS-C sensor cameras, such as the a6500 and NEX Handycams. The built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization system provides a 4-stop shutter speed advantage, making it significantly easier to achieve crisp, blur-free images and video. Its Power Zoom capability in AF mode and internal stepping motor provide, fast, smooth and quiet autofocus, which is ideal when shooting video. Despite being a zoom covering a relatively long middle range of 16-50mm, it is extremely thin and lightweight thanks to a retracting mechanism that reduces this lens to just 1.2". This lens is ideal for events and is especially well suited for traveling.

Special Note: Even when paired with crop sensor cameras or in crop mode, you may experience vignetting at 16mm. This lens exhibits a fair amount of barrel distortion at the wide end of the zoom range. It can be mitigated a bit with Distortion Compensation settings on your camera but your mileage may vary.
