The Nikon 200-400mm f/4G AF-S IF-ED VR II Lens is a super telephoto with a versatile range and relatively fast maximum aperture for anything of this length. It has 3 focusing modes with internal focusing so that the lens does not change length across the entire focal range, making it easier to handle (though note that this lens is not easy to hand-hold despite its Vibration Reduction system – a tripod is recommended). This lens is equipped with a helpful Memory Set switch, which you can use to focus on a subject and store the focused distance in the lens' memory, even after the camera is turned off! By switching to Memory Recall the lens will automatically return to the stored focal length. The Nikon 200-400mm f/4G AF-S IF-ED VR II Lens can be paired with both full frame sensor cameras, such as the Nikon D810, and with crop frame sensor cameras, such as the Nikon D7200. The focal length equivalent on crop frame sensors is 300-600mm. This lens is ideal for outdoor sports and wildlife photography as well as stadium event photography.
