Outdoor Films: I recently needed to take a time lapse, and was hoping to add a little more to it by renting both the Phillip bloom slider and the kessler elektradrive 200 kit. I found that the ElektraDrive worked extremely well. The motor was able to handle any of the cameras and the slider although small worked like a charm. I thought I would put a few helpful comments to anyone thinking about renting this. If your shooting outdoors on awkward surfaces make sure you also purchase the top hat extra piece that allows you to level the camera, because the slider does not have a very substantial leveling system. Make sure to look on youtube for some tutorials on how to use the remote on the motor because it has multiple modes but with no LED screen it's almost impossible to teach yourself without a manual or a tutorial video. This motor has modes that can run smooth and continuous, and also a mode that pulses every few seconds for a time-lapse The modes can run manually by pressing a button or set it and leave it modes, but again you HAVE TO WATCH A TUTORIAL to get a full understanding of the capabilities.
Parker: I always have more compliments on time lapses when i use a slider than when they are static. This is why this attachment is so awesome. The slider is great and the motor works fantastic. Helpful Hints: This motor can do amazing things and has many different settings that can make it do anything you could possibly need, but it only has two unmarked buttons with no lcd screen. Which means it's almost impossible to understand how to work it without help. The good thing is that there are tons of youtube videos that will show you how to use every function. Watch them!
