The White Lightning 660W/s X1600 Flash is a versatile flash unit that is suitable for both still subjects and action shooting, though it is not nearly as quick as some of our other flashes, such as the Profoto B1 500W/s AirTTL Flash or the Einstein. It is made of high-impact aircraft-grade aluminum and can take a beating out in the field. The power level is controlled easily with a sliding lever and the spring-loaded claw-style mounting apparatus connects easily to the Paul C. Buff Rotating Speedring, which accepts a variety of rod-based modifiers (not included). This flash pairs well with other Paul C. Buff flashes, such as the Einstein or other White Lightning flashes. It has a slightly slower recycle time than the White Lightning 330W/s X800 Flash but is also twice as strong. Note, also, that at nearly 5 lbs this flash is on the heavier side but still portable enough for field work.
