The Sony NEX-FS700 is a professional, modular camera with a 4K Super 35mm sensor that is a striking improvement over its predecessor the Sony NEX-FS100. This camera shoots 1080p HD video onto a 4K native sensor which means better control over depth of field, higher sensitivity in low light (with a dB range of 0-30 db), lower image noise, and an amazing dynamic range. However, the main attraction of this camera is the ability to capture 1080p at 240fps super-slow motion (8 second bursts) with reduced resolution at 480fps and 960fps. The FS700 comes equipped with four built-in ND filters, 3G/HD-SDI output, 50/60 Hz control (for NTSC/PAL option). The camera incorporates many of the same stellar features as the FS100 including: gain controls, embedded timecode, expanded focus, peaking, histogram, shotgun mic and dual XLR inputs. Mount high-end cinema lenses on the FS700 with the use of optional adapters. Additional Specs:

Outdor Media: This camera was exactly what we hoped for. The high frame rate allowed us to capture slow motion video of fish blowing up out of the water, without having to spend a fortune on a phantom camera. Our clients were very pleased, and as always BorrowLenses had all of the gear clean and in a protective carrying case for us. What surprised me the most about this camera was how easily it was to catch specific moments with only 8 second record times using their specialized recording format. This format allowed me to press the record button sometime within eight seconds after the event occurred and it would instantaneously save those last eight seconds to disk. The other great thing about the camera is it's ability to act as a regular camera taking great HD footage with resolution exceeding the every day television show. Fun camera to work with and I recommend renting an extra battery for ours only lasted for about 2-3 hours after every charge and drains very quickly.
