Stephen: On my 7D, the circular image was entirely contained on the sensor, with too much room to spare. It was difficult get proper focus through the view finder, as the image was so small. The frame of the UV filter included with the rental produced a visible ring at the outer edge of the circular image. Great if you are looking to re-create the look of a security peep-hole or periscope... I returned it early, as it was not what I expected. I felt like too many of my sensor pixels were unused and wasted.
