The Casio EXILIM EX-FC150 Digital Camera is unique in the world of point-and-shoot cameras in that it not only shoots snapshots and records video, but can also record slow-motion video -- up to 1,000 frames per second! In addition you can also turn on "high speed burst" mode for still shooting, and it'll fire off up to 40 frame per second. It's does not deliver the highest quality still images, but it's a lot of fun to play around with the super-slow motion video. The resolution at 1,000fps is pretty low, but you can still get some interesting effects at 240fps. As an example "Slow Mo Maru" was shot with the previous model of this camera.

John: I rented this to play with the High Speed video. The lower speeds are fun (my grandson learning to walk in slow-mo), but the 1000fps is not full frame, is not very high resolution and pretty much requires a very fast event (a few thousand frames take quite a while to play back, so you may find "normal" action a bit tedious and unsatisfying. Regular static pictures are great, though. It's a fun rental is you have some action to record.
