The NIKKOR AF-S 70-200mm f/4G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens from Nikon is designed for full-frame Nikon FX-format cameras, in addition this G-series lens is also compatible with Nikon's cropped DX-format cameras. When attached to a cropped sensor camera, it turns the 70-200mm focal length into the 35mm equivalent of a 105-300mm zoom - with a maximum f/4 aperture throughout the zoom on either FX- or DX-format.
Featuring three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements that ensure superior optical performance, providing better sharpness and color correction. Nikon's VR (vibration reduction) system prevents camera shake and allows flexible hand-held shooting by stabilizing the image to the equivalent of using a shutter speed that is five stops faster when compared with a conventional lens. The Silent Wave Motor and Internal Focusing result in fast and quiet focusing action and the nine-blade rounded diaphragm creates beautiful softly blurred backgrounds (bokeh) with a more natural appearance.
