Description Though all of these features are appreciated, the increased ISO performance is the real star of the show here. Images properly exposed at ISO 10,000 are virtually noise-free -- and if you really need to get the shot in low light you can ramp it up to an insane ISO 102,000! It really is a shooting experience you need to see for yourself to believe. And when you pair a camera body like this to one of the new f/1.4 prime lenses from Nikon; you can pretty much shoot in almost total darkness.

tobstah: Something that really impressed me about the D3s is that it performs very well in extreme cold. In my case i used it to shoot both handheld and with a tripod well below zero Fahrenheit. I shot about 100 frames at high ISO including long exposure over a period of 2 hours, but only lost 25% of the battery. There were also no screen artifacts, response slowness, or control lockup like I've experienced on other Nikon bodies.
Adam : The Nikon D3S is a sports shooters dream, I used this while shooting pro wakeboarding in Lake Powell. The main "claim to fame" of this camera, and the main thing that impressed me was the sensor, and it's astounding high ISO capabilities, the sensor produces completely usable images, even up to ISO 10,000; allowing you to shoot in just about any lighting situation; even more so with a f/1.4 prime lens. The overall extreme speed of the camera makes it a joy to use, especially shooting action or moving subjects. The giant buffer will allow you to keep shooting at full speed for quite some time making sure you get the shot that you want. The battery certainly seems to keep up as well, having it barely need a charge after a full days worth of shooting. Probably the best camera in existence for any sports shooter.
