Dusty: An excellent prime lens for any Nikon DX body. 50mm equivalent, which has long been considered the standard, or normal, focal length on full frame cameras. The fast f/1.8 aperture is great for utilizing ambient light in low light situations and for creating a tight DOF. Fully compatible on all modern Nikon DX DSLR bodies. Will vignette or require crop mode on FX cameras.

Adam : Loved this lens so much I bought it! After you use this lens you'll have a new appreciation for Prime Lenses, very useful for "normal" fields of view, ie: full length shots of multiple people. Excellent color reproduction, VERY light weight, sometimes you'll even forget its attached to your camera. The wide f/1.8 aperture will allow low light shots, even on older cameras and sensors.
