Chris: "What have I done?!?" That is what I kept saying to myself as I was shooting this wedding. Yes, it was a budget wedding. Yes, I needed to save a few bucks. No, I should not have saved it on this lens. Is it a fine lens for a casual thing? Sure. If you are making money with your images stay away! 1. Focus is LOUD! I mean really loud. I read a few reviews on other site ahead of time and I thought, "it can't be that loud." It is, just trust me. 2. Slightly off focus all day. I use a D7000 and I know it can be slightly off on its own so I always am on single point focus and I really work to get it right. Many of the images were just a little soft and not super crisp. 3. Not as sharp of an image. I am not talking on focus, just just a little grainy when you get up close. I had to shoot some parts in iso 800 which I have done many times and the graininess is fine on my d7000. However, that iso with that lens? I was embarrassed to give them the images. Don't save the few bucks. Rent the Nikon version and be happy. I didn't give it one star because it did take some okay images.
