Stephen: I used the 85mm f/1.4 on my D200 for 10 days. The D200 is a crop frame sensor so it had a long reach at 85mm. It's not a light piece of glass but, it balanced well in my wrist-strap grip. The focus was fast, quiet, and right on target. The image quality was excellent; just as sharp as my favorite 50mm f/1.4 with beautiful bokeh when I wanted it. I used it for close-in portraits and I had no trouble getting good focus on my subject's eyes.
