Ronald: This has been touted as a game changer in many ways....Most were comparing this to the previous version, the X100. I found the focus to be marginally faster than the old version. If you have the electronic viewfinder engaged, as opposed to the optical, you will experience a delay if picking up and firing the camera once it has gone into it's rest mode. The files looked good....but nothing "game changing" to my eye. Other reviewers have talked about the lack of raw file support and about a mosaic effect in the small details when using Adobe's raw converter. Version 7.4 is supposed to specifically address this issue. I downloaded the beta version of this and I still saw some of that effect in some files. I did not see this effect in the X Pro1. I think this camera could be a great camera for a lot of people. As for me, I am on the fence about it. The best thing for someone would be to rent for a short period and see if it works for you and your shooting style.
