The Sony PMW-F5 CineAlta Digital Cinema Camera is a professional digital cinematography video camera that delivers a gorgeous shallow depth of field and impressive low light performance with it's large Super 35mm CMOS sensor. The F5 rivals Hollywood film cameras including complete compatibility with cine-style film lenses and consistency of vision for cinematographers who prefer shooting on 35mm film.
The Sony F5 is capable of shooting and recording 1080p video at 60 fps and 2K video at 120 fps onto its dual slot SxS Pro+ Media card slots. Rendering images of immense detail is not a problem as the Sony F5 has a dynamic range of 14 stops of exposure latitude, allowing for shots containing details in the shadows and highlights of the image.
Controls of the camera’s body gives the user easy access to key features without searching through the menu system. Features such as: frame rate, shutter speed, color temperature, ISO sensitivity and gamma. Assignable buttons located throughout the body allows for unlimited customization of other features frequently used. There are also wide array of connection options including 4 HD-SDI jacks, HDMI, USB, and removable XLR and time code/genlock modules. Also included, the Sony DVF-L350 LCD Viewfinder, which features a 3.5" display with 960 x 540 resolution and a flip-up eyecup with an adjustable diopter.
