Description

The RED SCARLET Package is a marvel of cinema artistry. The "Mysterium-X" sensor can deliver images up to 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution, 48 frames per second at 3K resolution and 30 frames per second at 4K. Incredible HDRx technology gives the camera unheard-of lattitude in a digital solution whose image quality rivals 35mm film. The only other camera capable or delivering this level of image quality is the SCARLET's big sister, the RED EPIC.

The compact design of the RED SCARLET portable system is characterized as a "DSMC - Digital Still Motion Camera." It has a native dynamic range of over 13 stops providing incredible low light performance. Essentially, this beauty can see in the dark.

RED SCARLET shoots in RAW and records extensive Metadata including picture and sound characteristics per frame, set-up information, project/clip information, SMPTE Time Code, lens and shutter speed parameters, audio settings and video image processing information. Essentially, this provides everything a filmmaker needs to perfectly manipulate the images in post-production.
