Jenkins: I'm really happy I got to shoot for a few days with this camera. I learned so much in a short amount of time, and I filled up many hard drives with RAW footage. So much to say about this camera, but honestly it's all been said already in the various forums. For my part I found the BMC impossible to focus accurately with just the touch screen. Yes you can double tap to zoom in, but the focus peaking isn't the greatest and with that glossy screen you mostly just see your own reflection and finger prints. I tried this on my shoulder rig down at the LA River during the day and it was a complete waste of time. I got a few good shots but that was pure luck. The 4 rating is for the fact that I feel you pretty much need to also have an EVF or monitor in order to effectively use this camera. I rented the Rokinon 35mm Cine Prime to shoot with and I love that lens. Run and gun style was not so good, but I shot 2 episodes of a webseries almost exclusively with this lens on the BMC and it was a total dream! All studio work with controlled conditions and I have nothing but love for this combo. I really want to try the rest of the Rokinon cine prime set. I also had the Tokina 11-16 and the talk about it being soft on the BMC is very true. No infinity focus when the lens is wide open. I was able to use it on a few shots but I had to bring in a couple more 1k's so I could stop down. I did put it on my DSLR and loved it. Shot some sunset landscapes with it off my friend's 11th story balcony and those were really sweet. In all, just be aware that you'll need a lot of storage space if shooting RAW, you're going to want a monitoring solution, and if you plan on run and gunning you better have a battery solution too. And if you've never shot RAW video before be prepared for a serious learning curve. Thanks Borrowlenses. It was fun to turn some heads while shooting around town with this.
