Description:
The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM is the first among interchangeable lenses for DSLRs to offer an ultra wide f/1.8 aperture throughout its entire zoom range. Its bright viewfinder allows for easier focus confirmation and the wide angle-of-view range provides superior shooting flexibility. This lens has a brass bayonet mount, treated surfaces, and is made of Thermally Stable Composite for rugged stability in most conditions. The full-time manual override puts control into the photographer’s hands whenever the high-speed and quiet auto-focusing is not desired.

The barrel length of this lens doesn’t change and, since the front of the lens does not rotate, polarizing filters can be easily used. Sigma’s signature multi-layer glass coating greatly reduces ghosting and flaring in images. The diaphragm in this lens uses 9 rounded blades, which allows for attractive bokeh and soft focus effects, especially when shooting light or reflections. This lens is ideal for the crop-sensor shooter on-the-go who needs that extra stop the f/1.8 provides while still taking advantage of the traditional benefits of a zoom lens.
