Product Reviews
Ambermarie: I rented this lens to get some photos of a graduation ceremony that took place in a church with my T3. it was exceptional as far as capturing an incredible amount of the scene, but totally lacked resolution, all kinds of film grain. though, i did find that it worked better with outdoor shots.
Julian: This lens was an "add on" to two Canon L lenses that I was renting. I figured well, it'll be fun to shoot with, and really didn't expect much in the way of great photos, more-so was enjoying the prospect of taking some unique angles of things I normally shoot. This lens is very capable if used correctly. The shots I took on this were very deliberate, involving a tripod, and using live view 10x to get things in the best focus possible. I was not disappointed with the clarity of the tripod mounted shots. Just running around manually focusing through the viewfinder can be a bit tricky to do at first, but you will quickly get the hang of it on this lens. I shoot on a crop sensor body, and had to do very minimal cropping to remove the black corners that this lens has in the photos. I would not rent this lens to shoot photos that demanded tack-sharp focus, but for fun or as an "add on" to an order, I'd pick it up, it's worth the few extra bucks!
Amber: I used this lens in conjunction with another wide angle and telephoto..the pictures I took with it are some of the best in my portfolio! Manual focus only is a little tricky, but it's well worth it for creative shots.
Aaron: This Lens was great for a fisheye. There was some blurring on the edges but I am told that is normal for any fisheye lens. I have a camera with a crop sensor and there was no black border of any sort. The manual focus is a little hard to use, but this lens is much cheaper to rent than the other fisheyes. Over all I liked it.
