Description

This is the third iteration of the Canon Extender EF 2X and it is designed to double the focal length of Canon L-series telephoto lenses. Compared to its predecessor, it offers improved weather sealing, better optics and faster communication between lens and camera.

The Extender EF 2x III features five groups of nine elements, all of which use Canon's Super Spectra coating to reduce ghosting and flare. A new Fluorine Coating on the front and rear elements makes marks, such as spots left by water or fingerprints, much easier to clean than standard coatings. This extender also features an integrated processor.

Note: Autofocus is not available for lenses with apertures greater than f2.8. With the EOS-1D series, EOS-1v and EOS-3, AF is possible, but with the center focusing point only. Click here for more info in regards to Autofocus
