Carolyn: I was really excited about this camera and wanted to even buy it before I tried it. And, while it gave me great shots and it was easy to use, I was happy i tried out a few different options before I made the purchase. Every review I read seemed very excited about the 19 point auto focus. I found this to give me great, clear, crisp shots outdoors, but when it came to lower light situations, even with the flash on, the cameras focus was lagging and I came out with more out of focus shots than I normally would (even with my 20d). It could have possibly been user error, but I did not struggle with this on my old camera or the 5d mark ii. I also noticed the colors did not seem to be as saturated on the 7d, without me doing adjustments to the camera's settings and even more editing in lightroom to get the colors to look like they did on the 5d. Now, I am making this camera out to seem horrible. Which, it is not. It is a great camera, definitley a great step up from the 10d-50d cameras if you want to take that next step. It is lightweight and easy to use. The battery life is great. The price for the quality cannot be beat in my opinion. And, the video was a lot quicker and easier to figure out how to use and manuever on the 7d vs the 5d mark ii. Overall, it is a great camera, but once you go full frame, it is hard to go back.
jessica: I own this camera and am very happy with it! It has excellent image quality and takes great video. I shot with this camera at a wedding and did not regret purchasing. I shot with 24-70mm canon lens during event and received great quality images within low light conditions.
