Description
This lens provides an ultra wide-angle view with an impressive 114° angle of view - anything wider would be a fisheye. The two high-precision aspherical elements and two UD-glass elements result in better contrast and sharpness at the outer edges and a reduction in chromatic aberrations than earlier editions of this lens. John: I rented this lens for 1 week as an add-on perspective for a job. 10 years ago I had the Mark 1 original version of this lens, and honestly it was quite bad. Tons of CA and the typical wide angle barrel distortion, vignetting, and edge softness. Enter the Mark II. In a word - WOW! This lens redefines the Ultra Wide arena. Just the opposite of everything I just mentioned about the Mark 1 version. Give it rent and you won't be disappointed, I promise! PS - BL service was stellar! They run a very tight ship and the lenses I rented looked like they just came out of the original box. Not like the trash you get when renting in Hollywood/LA! BL is my newest BFF!
