This was the first time I had used the Panasonic AF100, and it was a great experience. It's surprisingly good in low-light, has great record times, and it's really familiar to shoot with if you've ever used a DVX100, HVX200 or HMC150. We shot with our own Canon EOS lens, using a mount adapter that we also rented from Borrowlenses.

The Panasonic AG-AF100 combines the interchangeable lenses and large sensor of a DSLR with the controls and options found on a pro-level video camera. You get manual control of both audio and video, variable frame rates, dual XLR inputs, HD-SDI and HDMI output, and timecode - all wrapped in a slick package with a Micro Four Thirds sensor -- which is 13 times the size of sensors found in 1/3" cameras.
This camera satisfies the needs of both Pro videographers who have been looking for the quality of a larger sensor with the flexibility of interchangeable lenses, and DSLR shooters who have been looking for more professional options including longer recording options.
