If you own a Mac you will have to go to http://hamrick.com/ and download a copy of Vuescan to use this scanner. The Plustek OpticFilm 7600i Ai Scanner is a 7200dpi film and mounted slide scanner that uses a white LED as its source which makes images vivid and dimensional. The 7600i Ai scans at 48-bit color making for accurate color, vibrancy and all the subtle detail in highlights and shadows. This machine minimizes noise by using multi-scan passes that are averaged together to cancel out all noise. It has a multi-exposure function to provide improved shadow and highlights details and show the richness and depth of every scan. SilverFast iSRD (Infrared Smart Removal of Defect) software uses a combination of hardware and software to automatically eliminate minor flaws, such as dust and scratches. This feature can be used in automatic and manual mode. This kit provides everything you need to professionally and efficiently scan all your film for the digital world.
