Description
Sony's Alpha A35 DSLR is extremely similar to its bigger brother, the SLT-A55. Both feature translucent mirror technology, both shoot 1080p HD video, have a 16.2mp APS-C sensor, and have the same size body with the same buttons, controls and menus. The main differences are as follows:

• The A55 shoots 10fps, the A35 at 7fps
• The A55 has an articluating LCD; the A35 does not
• The A55 has GPS; the A35 does not

If you want to check out a small, easy-to-use translucent mirror camera and don't care about these differences, the A35 is almost identical to the A55, so give it a whirl. It's a lot of fun to use and is a great starter camera if you want to see what all the "translucent mirror" fuss is all about.
