Description
This is the optically-stabilized (OS) version of the vaunted Bigma -- hence it's name, the Bigmos. No other lens gives you this much focal range in a package than you can handhold all day long. For those of you thinking it's amazing to rent a 500mm lens for such little money, please be aware that this lens is not even in the same league as a super-tele prime like a 500mm f/4 IS/VR. It's not as sharp, not as fast, and not as robustly designed. But if you're shooting in decent light the Bigmos is very sharp, and has pretty snappy auto-focus too. And if you want to shoot at 500mm handheld, it's the only game in town.
