I rented this as a backup camera for a wedding. It's a perfectly okay camera. I would not want one myself to do professional work because the body feels so fragile and plastic-y. I chose it because it was the cheapest FX body that I could rent. The controls are disorienting for anyone coming from the D700/D3/D300 bodies, but if you have no habits to fight against, you surely won't mind this. While carrying it, there was a part of the grip that kept wanting to come loose, not sure what its function was. The shutter is nice and quiet. The AF array is horribly small. I'm not sure which model AF array they used (too lazy to look it up) but it is even smaller than the pro-DX array used in cameras like the D300, which is already too small for an FX camera. AWB was not especially accurate compared to my D700. Image quality is really great. Dynamic range felt like it was higher than that of my D700, an observation which I believe DxOMark supports.
