Description
This ultra wide-angle zoom lens covers an extended focal length range that is particularly wide while remaining lightweight, compact, and user-friendly. The lens was designed for use with digital SLR cameras and thereby employs special optical glass materials for outstanding optical performance such as large-aperture, glass-molded aspherical elements, and hybrid aspherical elements.

Jeff-hobbyist: This was the perfect lens for my trip to London. Used on a Nikon D40X, it REALLY opened up my eyes to the shooting opportunities when visiting a fascinating city with plenty of buildings and other structures in close quarters. My best shots from the trip were with this lens -- castles, bridges, etc. from a close distance. I don't have enough typical needs for a wide-angle to justify a purchase (yet), so renting was a good way to capture a great trip in a fun way, with great pics for the memory book!
