This rental comes with a power supply that provides users up to 3 polar patterns. Cardoid, omni-directional and figure eight are all available and the patterns are user-variable allowing you to get a custom sound as you see fit.

The cardoid mode is mostly used for recording vocal. The omni pattern allows you to pick up sound from all directions making it ideal for anybody shooting a documentary or professional film. The figure 8 pattern captures sound from the front and back of the mic while rejecting sound from the sides, this pattern is ideal for recording interviews.
