Gabriel: Based on the reviews I take it that I had a defective lens. This lens was absolutely horrible!! Rented it to shoot a private event at a art gallery/lounge with low lighting. The lens couldnt even focus on the subject. Every image was coming out blurry! I've never been so disappointed and embarassed in my life. Having to make individuals pose over and over again trying to get the perfect shot with no blur. It was so bad I wound up having to take my cell phone out and using the flashlight on my cell phone as a source of light to light the subjects. Once I did that the camera worked fine. I had a 580EXII flash attached but that did no good because the lens would not focus to even capture the picture. Just imagine having to do that for 5 hours of shooting an event with celebrities. Pointing a bright LED light in their face just to get a good shot and so the lens would focus. I never would have imagined I would receive a lens like this from Borrowlenses. I rented another type of lens months ago that did the same thing but I just thought it was the lens itself. After using this one and renting others, I've come to the conclusion it had to be a defective lens. If you are shooting low light in a club, lounge, or any type of extremely low light setting this lens is not for you. Well unless you don't get a defective one. I knew it was the lens when another gentlemen at the event had a stock lens and with regular a regular SLR and was getting clear images in the same setting.

Ben: This lens is one of the fastest I have ever worked with. Rented it to shoot a show in a VERY low light auditorium and it performed beyond my expectations. I then took it out to shoot some long exposure and just mess around. I will be purchasing one of these to sit on my camera 80% of the time. Camera: Canon 550D (T2i)

Jonathan: Loved this lens. We rented for use on a 7D to shoot a Halloween commercial. I also used it for some studio work while it was here. It's a really good match for the 7D's crop sensor but I wonder if the 17-55 might not be better for photography (I've not yet used it). That being said this lens shoots superb video.

Bingo: I used this lens for a family trip to Disneyworld. A great lens. I'm thinking of buying this lens in the near future. I highly recommend this lens.
